What do we replace?

New LCD Display

The custom new LCD ensures there is no risk of obsolesence like the original CCFL LCD.
Bonded digitizer

Is mtc design better than the original?

Our design is our proprietary anti-delamination design, and should not suffer from the common issues. In addition, we use a durable LED backlight that is brighter than the original. Finally, we add a nice anti-fingerprint coating that resists water spots and fingerprints.

How to remove from the boat?

Check behind the screen, remove the two nuts. Disconnect the plug. The screen comes out from the front with the chrome bezel attached. On Tige versions, you will need to remove the front chrome bezel first, its held on with double sided foam tape.

Is there any programming?

No. With all repair options, all of your settings remain the same. For refurbushed units, you can change your controls under the switch- setup menu.

How do I know this will fix my issue with my Malibu or Tige screen??

On the Malibu 3962052 and Tige C2003 units, we typically see delamination, frozen or unresponsive, and dim or dark backlight. Our replacement updated screen fixes all of those issues permanently.

My friend said they can clean out the old glue and rebond it and solve the issue for much lower price?

This is a common belief. In our experience repairing thousands of these, it is not feasible and far too time consuming. The glue leaks inside the LCD resulting in permanent lines. In addition, we have never seen a quality job done with no artifacts or visual distortions after a rebond. This is why we only replace the parts with new.
