MTC-6A Gen 2.0

For Malibu MTC and Tige Touch 1 customers, this is how to install the DIY repair kit. Be sure to pay attention if you have 2.0 or 2.1, it will be written on the box.

For Malibu MTC and Tige Touch 1 customers, this is how to install the DIY repair kit. Be sure to pay attention if you have 2.0 or 2.1, it will be written on the box.

MTC-6B

This is the DIY Repair video for all customers with 2012 Mastercraft X series, 2012 Sea-doo, and 2015-2016 Chaparral Vortex 6.5 inch medallion touch screens.

MTC-12A

This is one of our most popular DIY kits, the 12 inch medallion Viper 2. Its easy to replace and requires patience and about 1 hour of time. Be careful to avoid cracking the glass upon removal.

MTC-AV43

This is a great DIY repair kit for the 4.3 yamaha connext system. We have two versions, be sure to check what you currently have installed before ordering. Use black RTV silicone to install the new screen, don't use too much.

MTC-7E

Our 7 inch connext gen 1 screen is a great DIY option. Only screws hold it in place.

2010-2014 Tige Touch 1 Medallion Display Removal

Step 1

Remove chrome bezel from glass using pry tool . Tape is located on screen perimeter

Step 2

Remove 4x phillips screws to free black mounting plate from dash.

Step 3

From back of unit, remove Yellow RCA video plug, and 6 pin connector. Remove 2 nuts and remove bracket securing display to black plate. Unit can now be removed

Step 4

Reinstall chrome bezel with RTV clear silicone

2015-2018 Yamaha Connext 7 inch Gen 1 Display Removal

Step 1

Press plug tab down and remove plug from display body

Step 2

Remove 4x hex screws shown in red circles. Screens comes out the front.

Step 1

Reach into helm and remove nuts that secure faux carbon fiber bezel to fiberglass dash.

Step 2

Swing bezel forward so you can access connectors. The connectors have a tab lock to squeeze before removal. Remove the connectors. The 7" VIper 2 models use only a single ethernet cat6 Cable. Shown below is the 6.5" Viper 1

Step 3

Remove 4x nuts that secure the aluminum plate , the display can now be removed.

Step 1

Turn off master switch and remove plugs on back of display

Step 2

Use 1/4" deep socket to remove the nut holding the 3 clamps in place. Click for video.

Step 3

Remove clamps and remove display from the front. It may be a tight fit.

Step 4

Remove aluminum trim ring bezel from display with small hex wrench prior to sending it in for repair

Step 1

Applies to lower right Primary 7" Display

Step 2

Look at the back of the screen, remove two phillips screws on left side

Step 3

Remove right side 2x phillips screws

Step 4

With 4x screws removed, the front brushed metal piece will come off

Step 5

Press locking tabs on harness plugs and pull away from display to remove all plugs

Step 6

All plugs removed from back of unit

Step 7

Display will come out from the front

Step 8

Display removed, be sure to package it well if sending in for mail in service.

Remove Access Port on Dash

Remove phillips screws and lift off dash cover

Remove 2x silver screws

There are 2 screws that secure the display to your dash, remove them

Remove ethernet cable

There is a blue ethernet cable into the bac,, press the locking tab and remove the cable. It is the same as a computer networking cable

Remove display

Tilt the display forward and remove it from the dash. Important- DO NOT overtighten the screws when installing the new display. Finger tight only.

6913-00561-01

This is the non touch part number for Freightliner RV- 6913-00561-01 and it commonly delaminates or causes bubbles.

66-02439-000

This is the Freightliner part number, commonly over $5500 USD at the dealers.

2018-2019 Medallion 7 inch Viper II Display Removal

Reach into helm and remove 4 nuts and washers that secure metal trim bezel that clamps the display to the dash. Press locking tab on Ethernet CAT6 Cable and remove cable
