How It Works

1. Add to cart and check out to receive shipping instructions • 2. Remove the display from your helm and pack it securely • 3. Ship your unit to our Fort Myers, FL facility • 4. We restore button function and replace the damaged overlay with a brand new matte overlay • 5. Every button is tested on the bench before it leaves • 6. We ship your restored display back to you within 3 days or less of receiving it • 7. Plug it back in at the helm, no programming or setup needed

Common Issues We Fix

Menu, back, forward or enter buttons that only work some of the time or need several presses • Frozen or completely unresponsive buttons • Round soft keys on the right side that won't let you scroll pages or change screens • Cracked, faded, sun bleached or peeling front overlay, often starting along the top edge • Worn or missing button icons

Why It Happens

Many HV1000-MTUJ displays have now been at the helm for 15 years or more. Sun, heat, salt air and moisture tend to break down the front overlay and the button layer behind it over time. Once the overlay cracks or starts to lift, moisture can reach the button contacts, and we frequently see buttons turn intermittent first and then stop responding altogether.

About Our Matte Overlay

We use a matte finish overlay that resists fingerprints and helps hide light scratches from everyday use at the helm. If your display currently has a glossy overlay, the new one will look slightly different from what you are used to. It keeps the same button layout and icons, with a cleaner, low glare finish. The new overlay does not include the MTU logo at the top.
