2013-2015 Harris 7 Inch Touch Screen Control
This screen is the HV700 or HV700HB, made by Murphy. These units were used until 2015 on the main lines and have rubber buttons on the side. On the solstice, it was an option package until 2017.
The most common issue we see is called ghosting or ghost touch, where buttons are randomly being pressed. We also see areas where the touch is frozen or unresponsive. Sometimes the display is blacked out.
Finally, it is common to see LCD defects like black spots, black screen, fading image, yellowing, UV burn, stripes, or random colors being displayed. Our repair service fixes all of these.
2016-2021 Harris Glass Dash Helm- 12 Inch
This was part of the dual dash setup known as the glass dash helm introduced in 2016. These screens were made by medallion and this system is called the viper 2, the upper screen above the steering wheel is 12 inches.
The most common issue is delamination- a glue leaking watery look behind the screen glass. We also see touch issues like unresponsive areas or ghost touching. Our replacement LCD touch screen solves this problem.
