These units were used on a wide variety of boats starting in 2012, here is a list of the most common versions.
We see many LCD failures on these units, some are shown below.
In addition to touch issues, we see display or image issues. We refer to ghost touch as ghosting or phantom touch on the HV700 units.
It is where random controls are being pressed without any user control. Sometimes your ballast or cruise controls is changing on it's own.
Why is it happening?
This is the most common failure we see on the HV700 units and is due to a failure of the internal circuit that controls the touch screen.
This is also very common on the HV700 units. Sometimes you will try to press controls on the touch screen and nothing will happen, or it will take multiple presses and increased pressure to respond.
This is due to the internal bond hardening and losing touch response over time.
If your display unit is exhibiting one or more of the issues listed above, it needs to be replaced in order to regain control of your boat.
Depending on your region and model, prices for new HV700 can range from $6,000 USD- $12,000 USD.
Some models like Regal are no longer available so parts cannot be ordered.
The good news- we can refurbish your HV700 display unit, guaranteed to fix all of the above issues for a fraction of the cost!
