Nautique Owners: A Linc 2.0 Screen Stuck on the Boot Page Does Not Mean a New Display
A 2013 Nautique came into our Fort Myers shop with a Linc 2.0 display doing the one thing no one wants at the ramp: powering up to the Nautique boot loading page and staying there. No gauges, no controls, just the logo. This is a common issue we see on Linc systems from this era, our mail-in repair service handles it, and it costs $2,800+ less than a new display.

What Is the Nautique Linc 2.0 Display?
The 7 inch helm screen on 2012 to 2017 Nautiques
From 2012 to 2017, Nautique boats used a 7 inch helm display built by Murphy (Enovation Controls) for the Linc system, in both touch and non touch versions. The Linc 2.0 non touch display carries part number 78350498 (Nautique 120044) and was used from 2012 to 2016, while the touch versions for Correct Craft carry numbers like 78350442 (140203) and 78350321. All of them belong to the HV700 family, so check the label on the back of your unit: if it says HV700, HV700HB, HV700BP, or HV700-CC, this guide applies to you.

Stuck on the Boot Page
The unit powers on, shows the loading screen, and never advances to your gauges and controls. This is the issue that brought this 2013 Linc 2.0 into the shop.

Black or Dim Screen
A close cousin of the boot hang: the display goes black entirely, or the backlight fades until the helm is unreadable in daylight.

Ghost Touch and Dead Zones
On the 2013+ touch versions we frequently see phantom inputs, dead zones, and frozen, unresponsive buttons from a failing internal touch controller.

Stripes, Spots, or a Faint Image
The 2012 units in particular can experience LCD failure that causes stripes, black spots, a faint image, or LCD burn.
Why It Sticks on the Loading Screen
A decade old display that can no longer finish startup
It is normal for electronics to fail when used beyond their designed life span, and a 2013 display has now spent well over a decade at the helm. Heat cycles bake the dash all day, vibration works on the internal components every time the boat runs, and over the years the aging electronics inside these units have been known to give out.
When that happens, the display can no longer complete its startup sequence, so it hangs on the Nautique loading page or goes black entirely. Power cycling might get it through once in a while at first, but the hangs tend to become more frequent until the screen never advances at all. This is a hardware issue inside the display unit itself, so there is no settings reset or software trick at the helm that brings it back for good.
How the Mail-In Repair Works
Four steps, no dealer visit, no programming
- Place your HV700 mail-in repair order and select the checkbox for a screen stuck on booting or appearing black. A pre-paid shipping label arrives by email (USA only), and international customers receive mailing instructions.
- Remove the display from your boat and ship it in. Removal is simple plug and play, and each boat is a little different, so check our installation page for details on yours.
- We carefully open the unit, replace the failed components with brand new parts, reseal the unit to retain its original watertight properties, and test everything before it ships back in 3 days or less.
- Plug it back in. No programming, no dealer visit, and all of your original settings and profiles are preserved.
What Owners Get Back
Same unit, booting straight through, brighter than factory
The same unit that left your boat comes back booting straight through to your gauges, with brand new components behind your original housing and motherboard. Boot hangs, black screens, and any touch or LCD issues are all resolved in the same repair. Trusted by hundreds of verified customers with a 5 star rating.
The updated 800 nit LED backlight means the screen typically comes back brighter than the day the boat left the showroom, with an anti-glare, anti-fingerprint finish that stays readable in full sun and with polarized glasses on.
