So What Is Going On?

A blue screen is a signal problem, not a dead display.

Blue screen issues on the older Mastercraft BIG display tend to be very common, and even more commonly misdiagnosed. The first thing to understand is that a blue screen usually means your display is working properly.

A blue display means it is waiting for a signal from the yellow coaxial cable that plugs into the back. The panel and backlight are doing their job, they simply have no video source coming in. This same behavior applies to every system that shares this design.

What to Check First

Work through these before anything else.

Yellow Cable Connection

Confirm the yellow cable is plugged into the back of the display and into the blue module.

Cable Condition

Verify the RCA yellow coaxial cable is not corroded or damaged in any way.

Motherboard Connections

Make sure the connection has not been broken on the screen or on the Medallion blue module.

Test that the blue module has power and is functioning, then load test your batteries.
